Digital library is a collection, containing originally digital documents as well as digital copies of rarities in demand stocked by RSL or received from external sources. By 2009 the digital stock volumed up to 400 thousand documents and is continuously growing.
The whole stock of the library is available in reading rooms in compliance with Part IV of The Civil Code of RF. To view open resources, please, use Acrobat Reader.
The Central Main Ñollection represents set of books, journals and magazines, periodical publications in 192 languages of the world in all spheres of knowledge.
The Ñollection includes reference and information editions in all the fields of knowledge. The Ñollection offers basic information resources for reference and bibliographic services. The total volume of the Stacks is 300,000 editions.
Central Auxiliary Ñollection
The Central Auxiliary Ñollection is a universal collection of duplicate copies of books and periodicals, which are always in hightened demands of the RSL readers. It is available in free access and contains more than 130,000 editions, permitting readers to receive the most efficient services.
The Specialized Collection of Manuscripts is believed to the oldest archive centre of the RF. It includes unique and extremely rare manuscripts, historic and documentary materials, separate autographs and other archive documents in number more than 500,000 documents.
Dissertation Ñollection
The Ñollection of Dissertations is a unique documentary collection of the RF. The Ñollection holds more than 800,000 units.
The Specialized Ñollection of Newspapers is the biggest collection of newspapers in the RF and in the Post-Soviet space. It is unique on subjects, readers' purposes, and printing execution of work. The Ñollection contains more than 600,000 annual complete sets of newspapers, and more than 50,000 titles.
The Specialized Ñollection is developing as the basic information resource of the Armed Forces Central Library. The RSL has been performing such duties since 1929. The total volume of the Ñollection contains about 600,000 editions.
The Specialized Collection of editions in the languages of Asia and Africa includes unique documents from the very first days of book-printing to the present time. It is the biggest Ñollection in the RF of this sort, which contains more than 800,000 copies.
The Ñollection of Periodicals
The Specialized Collection of Periodicals contains the latest acquisitions. It includes 240,000 numbers of journals and magazines, and about 500 annual complete sets of newspapers.
