Your inquiries are processed by QuestionPoint, the software designed by OCLC and the Library of Congress, USA.
Virtual Reference Service:
- Provides services on the basis of the Statute
- Provides services free of charge, to all users
- Does not consider:
- inquiries beyond the competence of RSL;
- inadequately formulated inquiries;
- requests for consulting on legal matters;
- requests for entertainment-related information (answers to quizzes, crossword-puzzles etc);
- inquiries related to commercial information.
Virtual Reference Service retains the right
to differentiate and select requests with regard to the information needs of a visitor.
Priority is given
to scientific, research and professional requests for the information inaccessible on the self-service basis and unavailable in other libraries and information pools.
We suggest that students and school pupils should refer to their local libraries and the libraries of their educational institutions before submitting an inquiry to RSL.
Processing time
- You can submit an inquiry 24/7. Inquiries are processed on the 'first come – first served' basis. The information is provided in 2 business days for submissions in Russian and in 3 days for those in English from the day a submission was registered with the web-site.
