A comprehensive collection of published print documents, as well as unpublished documents on culture and the arts in Russian and other languages of the peoples of Russia, in foreign European languages, and documents on microforms and CD/DVDROM.

Of particular value in this collection are the private book collections and thematic collections of documents assembled by the library. The total number of documents in the collections of the Central Book Repository is over two million items.
