Knowledge Classification System — Linked Open Data (LOD)

The Linked Open Data (LOD) is an additional tool for searching documents in the Electronic Catalogue. It is based on the Library and Bibliographic Classification (BBK), represented by digitised dividers from the card-based General Systematic Catalogue (GSC).

This classification system enables users to quickly generate a list of publications on a specific topic, subject or heading, and also highlights related fields of knowledge.

Image Catalogue

Image Catalogue

The image catalogue consist of scanned copies of a portion of the RSL card-based General Alphabetical Catalogue (GAC). It is possible to search by the title of a GAC catalogue drawer, as well as by the dividers within it. The search result is a digital image of a catalogue card. It is also possible to place an order for an item of interest. The image catalogues serve a supplementary informational function, contain incomplete data, and are currently in trial operation. We apologise for any errors, which will be corrected over time.

Items added to the RSL collections from 1999 onwards are recorded in the Electronic Catalogue and are not represented in the image catalogues.

Index of Materials without Individual Bibliographic Records

Index of Materials without Individual Bibliographic Records

The RSL collections include items that do not have individual bibliographic records in the catalogues (i.e. group processing). These include address books, calendars, exam questions, rules and regulations, theatre bills, and similar materials.

The Index can be a helpful tool for searching these items; it organises materials into groups and lists the departments holding them. For detailed information about the availability of specific materials from the list provided, please contact the relevant department using the telephone numbers shown in the final column of the index.
