How to join the Library

Every citizen of the Russian Federation or another country from the age of 14 can join the Library and become a Library reader.

Where and how can I register with the Library?

Library Reader Card is issued at the Registration Desks at the following addresses:

The Main Building:

Library Reader Card

When registering with the Russian State Library, you will get a plastic Reader Card with your photo. It is free.

In case of loss of the Library Reader Card, you can order a duplicate. The cost of duplicate Card is 100 rubles.

The Library Reader Card is for personal use only, transfer to another person is prohibited.

Documents required for Registration

For Russian citizens: Russian passport;
For citizens of other countries: Passport with a valid visa (if you don’t have a visa, please, provide the Russian translation of your surname and first name).
